Position Summary & Responsibilities:
The purpose of this position is to support the Executive Director in meeting the Kansas Children’s Cabinet & Trust Fund (KCCTF) responsibilities pursuant to K.S.A. 38-1901, Kansas Executive Order 20-02, and Kansas State Board of Education outcomes. This position is critical to facilitating needs of the KCCTF Board and overseeing centralized operations (personnel, budget, support functions) to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to KCCTF responsibilities, funding and agreements.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
Three years of experience in planning, organizing and directing work of a program, department, organization or agency. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant.
Preferred Skills and/or Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in public administration, leadership and management, early childhood or a related field;
- Master’s degree in public administration, leadership and management, early childhood or a related field;
- Personnel management and leadership experience;
- Ability to organize work and manage time to meet deadlines with minimal supervision;
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships;
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse partners and teams at all levels within an organization;
- Ability to work and meet deadlines with minimal supervision;
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing;
- Knowledge of the Kansas early childhood system and/or early childhood programs and services; and
- Knowledge of budget development and tracking, grant management and grant compliance.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with Kansas state government agencies and the Legislature, early childhood programs and services and managing federal grants and funding.
