Compensation:
- Hourly Pay Range: $21.00 - $22.00
Note: Salary can vary depending upon education, experience, or qualifications.

Position Summary:
Auditor
Assists state officials and state employees with filing Statements of Substantial Interest. Responsible for communicating with state agencies, legislators, and candidates to obtain compliance and provide guidance as needed. Conducts campaign finance audits (for which training is provided), and assists the campaign finance team in reviewing reports submitted by candidates and political committees. This position plays a vital role within the team where your insights are valued and your contributions make a meaningful difference.
- Statements of Substantial Interest (SSI) guidance for appropriate state positions (approximately 6,000 annually).
- Handles enforcement as needed to obtain report filing.
- Updates Commission forms and reports as necessary throughout the election cycle.
- Uploading filed reports, statements, and other documents onto the Commission’s website.
- Provide assistance with audits and desk reviews.
- Cross-training for other positions as needed.
Potential start date on or after February 3, 2025
Preferred Qualifications:
Two years of experience in examining internal work processes, financial and operational records and controls to assess effectiveness, accuracy of records and compliance with statutes, regulations and professional/legal standards. Education in accounting/ auditing, business administration, or economics may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
