Position Summary & Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Position (K0229381)

Documentation Services: Serve as the librarian for the medical assistance eligibility area. Maintain a policy library that includes all policies and related material, including historic policy memorandums, manual updates, and other relevant materials. Disseminate finalized policies and supporting documents to agency staff. Maintain an interactive/searchable question and answer log of policy and program questions. Provide assistance with other initiatives led by the eligibility policy team that require documentation services. This includes, but may not be limited to, documenting and disseminating minutes from meetings led by members of the eligibility policy team.

Policy Manual and Forms Management: Maintain eligibility policy manuals. Establish a schedule for updates and maintain a versioning and issuance history of all updates. Policy manuals are published online and require use of HTML and Adobe RoboHelp. Manage and oversee updates to Kansas Medical Assistance program internal and public forms. Forms may be paper-based or web-based. Publish and maintain information on the public website, including program information.

Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

Program Support: Provides general program support. For example, provides input on policy and process decisions. Research information as needed to assist Program Managers developing policy and procedures. Participates in unit meetings and special projects. Resolves case-specific concerns. Responds to questions from program leadership and other agency executives. Participates in special projects as determined by program leadership.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • High School, GED
  • Licensing & Certification:
    • Valid Driver's License - Incumbent is required to have and maintain a valid driver's license when operating a state vehicle, a private vehicle, or a rental vehicle for the benefit of the State.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • At least two years relevant professional experience in compiling and organizing electronic documentation under supervised direction in a team setting.
    • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
    • Proofreading, editing, attention to detail
    • Analytical Skills
    • Exceptional organizational skills
    • Verbal communication skills
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree
    • Ability to interpret policy
    • Ability to adapt communication to the audience
    • Experience using the Kansas Eligibility Enforcement System (KEES).
    • Experience with eligibility determination for Medical Assistance programs
    • Experience with OneDrive, Adobe Pro, RoboHelp, HTML, website design and publishing
