Compensation: $46,092.80 to $53,414.40/Annual ($22.16 to $25.68/Hr.)*
- Offered salary will be determined by education, experience, or qualifications. Though this position is unclassified, the posted starting salary is equivalent to classified Pay Grade 28, step 6-12. Please contact Recruitment Coordinator for further details.

Position Summary & Responsibilities
Position Summary:
This position provides monitoring of the Department’s IT applications and infrastructure and is responsible for creating, completing, and coordinating help desk tickets and phone calls requesting IT service. The position must perform this work in a manner ensuring efficiency and good Customer Service skills.
This position is also responsible for creation, maintenance, and removal of all IT credentials for access to KDOC systems. This includes communication with OITS for access to state systems and other IT functions performed at the state level.
The position monitors and runs reports to be shared with other agencies and partners and will also assist programming staff with daily duties and special projects.
The position also is a backup to Computer Operations staff as needed.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Provide user support on help desk tickets and phone calls reporting network outages, application errors, system access, password issues, etc. Tickets are worked to resolution when possible or assigned to the appropriate technician when necessary.
User account management for all KDOC applications and systems. Create, maintain, trouble shoot and terminate security credentials in a timely manner as needed.
Monitor systems for outages and irregularities and report to the responsible staff for resolution.
KDOC point of contact with OITS for state level access to applications and systems Work with KDOC’s application development staff to assist in troubleshooting applications and testing.
Monitors and runs reports to be shared with KDOC staff and other agencies and partners.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/ GED or completion of a technical school program in information technology or a relevant field. Knowledge installing, upgrading, troubleshooting commonly used hardware and software. Understanding of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Provide basic training and guidance to end-users on IT systems and software usage.
Demonstrate the ability to document support activities, solutions, and procedures for knowledge base articles.
Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Demonstrate problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail.
