Position Summary & Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The position (K0241055)

Analyzes data for internal consistency and data integrity. Collects, reviews, and audits data and prepares data sets. Works with Contract staff to develop, test, and maintain published KEES reports. Designs reports, maps, charts, and graphs that describe and interpret the findings of data analyses. Organizes data so it is coherent and easily communicated to its intended audience. Documents findings of research and analyses and documents sources for on-going production. Collaborates regularly with KDHE Policy, KDHE Eligibility Operations, KEES Operations, contractor staff, and leadership. Takes on major research efforts on entire programs or major policies within such programs. Makes recommendations to internal and external partners based on data analysis. Assists policy-makers by providing statistical analysis to develop, select, and implement various policy options.

Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

Assists KEES Operations, and KDHE Quality, Training, eligibility, and Policy, as well as other Management Analysts with fixing, and preventing data issues in the system. Assists with ensuring the quality of KEES data. This primarily includes assisting the Management Analyst Team and KEES Operations Team in design creation, review, and implementation for new or updated changes to KEES, KMMS, and MMIS systems. This will additionally assist with troubleshooting issues as well as creating/testing workarounds to mitigate impacts caused by changes or system issues.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • High School, GED
  • Licensing & Certification:
    • Valid Driver's License - Incumbent is required to have and maintain a valid driver's license when operating a state vehicle, a private vehicle, or a rental vehicle for the benefit of the State
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Two years of experience in collecting, analyzing, studying or reporting on statistical, economic, fiscal/budget, legislative or administrative data. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency
    • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
    • Proofreading, editing, attention to detail
    • Multi-tasking and Prioritization
    • Report design/creation
    • Ability to work with technical and non-technical staff
    • Analyzing data
    • Experience with Oracle Reporting Tools
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s Degree -Finance, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration or similar degree
    • Data management
    • Troubleshooting
    • Experience with Medicaid health care benefit eligibility for government programs
    • 1 Year or more of Experience with KEES (Kansas Eligibility Enforcement System)
    • Tableau
