Compensation:
- Annual Salary Range: $46,467.20 - $53,456.00
- Hourly Pay Range: $22.34 to $25.70

Position Summary & Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is the premier criminal investigative agency in the state of Kansas. The KBI is committed to its critical mission of preventing crime and enhancing public safety in Kansas.
The KBI is accepting applications to fill a Program Consultant I position in the Employee Engagement Division Training Unit.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Administrative support and data management for the KBI Employee Engagement Division Training Unit.
Track and submit personnel training records to KBI databases and KS CPOST training registry. Organize and audit personnel training files both in digital and paper form. Provide training reports to personnel as requested.
Serve as backup administrator of learning management system managing courses, registrations, and users. Assist end users with troubleshooting issues.
Coordinate enrollment and attendance for KBI training courses/programs. Identify and coordinate scheduling and other logistics for training.
Maintain training announcement distribution list and regularly construct and disseminate announcements.
Assist in developing, organizing, and auditing training manuals, publications, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials in coordination with unit leadership. Evaluate, assist, and edit training materials prepared by internal instructors for training development.
Track, gather, maintain, and report quarterly and yearly statistical information.
Assist with special division projects and other related duties and initiatives as assigned.
Assist with Training Unit equipment.
Qualifications:
Education
- High school degree or higher preferred
Licensing & Certification
- Valid driver’s license
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Technologically proficient in common software programs.
- A demonstrated tract record of being highly organized and attentive to detail, with a demonstrated history of high productivity.
- Exceptional ability to effectively communicate in-person and in digital formats.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Two years of experience working in a law enforcement related field
- Experience working with Microsoft Access or SQL
- Experience with adult learning applications
- Experience with building SCORM packages for on-line training courses
Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements
- As a condition of employment, you will be subject to a pre-employment process to include a polygraph examination, fingerprint based records check, and comprehensive background investigation, including reference check of past and present employers. The pre-employment process will be waived for current KBI personnel who have previously completed the screening requirements
