Finger Lakes Community College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Business Faculty with a focus on Sports Studies to join our Business Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of business and sports studies courses, developing curriculum, and contributing to the growth and success of our Sports Studies program. FLCC offers five different modalities for courses: Asynchronous Online, In-person, Hybrid, Hyflex, and Synchronous Online. As Faculty in the Business Department, you may be asked to teach in any of these modalities, ensuring a dynamic and flexible learning environment for our students.

- Teaches undergraduate courses in business and sports studies, including but not limited to Introduction to Sports Studies, Sports Marketing, Introduction to Business, and Organizational Behavior.
- Develops and updates course syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials.
- Engages students through innovative teaching methods and active learning strategies.
- Advises and mentors students on academic and career goals.
- Participates in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and assessment activities.
- Contributes to the college community through service on committees and participation in college events.
- Stays current with industry trends and incorporate relevant developments into the curriculum.
- Engages in professional development activities to enhance teaching effectiveness.
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience.
- Knowledge of business principles, sports management practices, and current industry trends.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency in AI Technologies for Event Optimization:
- Knowledge of AI tools and software used for optimizing event logistics, crowd management, and real-time scheduling during sports events.
- Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Experience with using AI and data analytics to inform strategic event decisions and marketing efforts.
- Research and Innovation in AI for Event Management:
- A background in researching or implementing innovative AI solutions in sports event management, such as real-time data-driven decision making or automated event operations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration with Event Stakeholders:
- Experience in managing cross-disciplinary teams to implement digital tools and AI solutions that improve the overall event experience for all stakeholders.
- Ethical and Privacy Considerations in AI Applications:
- Understanding of the ethical and privacy implications of using AI and digital technologies in sports event management, particularly concerning attendee data, consent, and security.

- Salary will depend on rank according to education and experience – Starting salary: Instructor: $56,132; Assistant Professor: $62,567.
