Job Summary:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with a strong focus on continuous improvement, efficiency, and new product integration. This role will analyze and enhance production processes, identify and implement process improvements, and manage CapEx and new product launches. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Industrial Engineering and experience in lean manufacturing, production workflows, and cross-functional collaboration to reduce inefficiencies and enhance productivity.
Job Duties:
- Process Optimization: Lead continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor, focusing on labor, machine, and material efficiency, using lean methodologies and Kaizen events.
- Problem Solving & Quality Improvement: Identify root causes of quality issues, apply disciplined problem-solving, and collaborate with quality assurance teams to implement solutions.
- Cost Reduction & Efficiency: Identify cost-reduction opportunities, develop business cases, and oversee implementation.
- Production Documentation: Create, modify, and train staff on work instructions, SOPs, and production standards to ensure consistent processes.
- New Product Launches: Oversee new product introductions to the manufacturing process, ensuring seamless integration and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Safety & Ergonomics: Partner with plant EHS teams to implement safety improvements and ergonomic enhancements in production areas.
- Process Redesign: Redesign layouts of assembly areas to streamline workflows, reduce bottlenecks, and enhance productivity.
- Collaboration & PM Development: Work with maintenance teams to improve preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and drive asset reliability.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 3-5 years in manufacturing or industrial engineering roles with demonstrated knowledge of production machinery, CAD software, and project management.
- Technical Skills: Proven experience with Lean manufacturing principles, Proficient in Microsoft Office, CAD software and project management.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, cross-functional environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs; position involves a mix of office and factory settings.

Work Environment:
