The Steward School seeks an enthusiastic and committed Upper School Mathematics teacher for the academic year 2025-2026. This is a full-time, fully-benefitted faculty position reporting to the Director of Upper School.
Responsibilities
Teach five sections of Upper School Mathematics to include Statistics.
Plan and deliver creative and effective instruction that develops critical thinking skills.
Utilize technology to facilitate instruction.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues.
Post and maintain curriculum, syllabi, and grades.
Demonstrate familiarity with differentiated learning instruction.
The position includes other duties as assigned by the Director of Upper School.
Qualifications And Experience
Bachelor�s degree with a major concentration in Mathematics and/or Education is required.
The Preferred Candidate Will Have
Master�s degree and/or Commonwealth of Virginia certification.
Relevant classroom experience, including Upper School mathematics instruction.
AP Statistics experience.
Growth mindset and willingness to pursue ongoing professional development.
Technological proficiency in the classroom, including Google Educational apps, interactive whiteboards, and electronic grade books.
Experience with coaching and/or club sponsorship.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
