- Support residents in participating in daily living activities (ADLs) to promote independence and enhance their quality of life.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized activity plans that address specific needs related to aging issues or disabilities.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents during activities, fostering a positive environment.
- Maintain accurate records of participation in activities and report any changes in resident behavior or health status.
- Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all participants by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Engage with families to encourage participation in community events and provide updates on resident involvement.
Skills
- Strong background in caregiving, with a focus on supporting individuals with disabilities or aging-related issues.
- Knowledge of daily living activities (ADLs) and how they relate to resident care.
- Experience in social work or recreational therapy is highly desirable.
- Excellent event planning skills, with the ability to create engaging programs that cater to diverse interests.
