What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time In-Home Special Needs Child Caregiver position at The Stork's Helpers?
Job Type: Independent Contractor
- Work with an active-duty military family who has at least one child with a special need or disability.
- Screening process includes federal and state background checks, Child Protective Services clearance, sex offender registry check, and reference checks.
- Must complete CPR/First Aid certification and pre-service trainings to become an approved provider.
- Must be reliable, punctual, responsible, trustworthy, and enjoy working with children.
Direct care providers, behavioral assistants, paraprofessionals, college students, teacher assistants, paraeducators, school aides, stay-at-home parents, and retired educators are encouraged to apply.
Pay is based on experience and education. No experience is required.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation
- First Aid/CPR Certified
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to pass enhanced background checks
