Fairview, founded in 1892, is a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to providing exceptional services to the senior population. We are affiliated with the fraternal order of The Odd Fellows. With a rich history and a commitment to quality care, Fairview offers a unique and fulfilling work environment. On our current 35-acre campus, we have a 100-bed skilled nursing facility, 20 apartment buildings called Fellowship Manor and forty (40) cottage homes known as Thames Edge. Fairview is one of 23 CCRC's (Life Plan Communities) in the state of CT. There are approximately 1,500 CCRC's across the United States.

We are seeking a Receptionist- Part Time to join our dynamic team in Independent Living. The ideal candidates will be responsible for the following duties:

• Greet Residents and visitors in a warm welcoming and cheerful manner as well as, providing assistance and directions as needed.
• Answer telephone, determine nature of call and direct caller to appropriate individual or department.
• Receive inquiries and release information in accordance with established policies and procedures. Health care information must be handled in compliance with HIPPA guidelines.

Specific Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
• Must possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
• Prior experience as a receptionist or in a customer service position preferred.
