Job Description
This position requires utmost professionalism and elevated urgency to provide the best hospitality experience to members of The Stovall House. The ideal candidate will be able to greet members and assist them with anything they might need while on property, monitor the daytime/ evening meeting and events schedule and delegate setup tasks accordingly to staff, assist with Member Services duties, and ensure that the expectations of The Stovall House Culture are consistently carried out. The Event Lead Server should be able to confidently manage daytime events, organization of storage areas, special member requests, complaints, and enforce club policies.
Reports To: Events Manager
Role Responsibilities
Prepare BEOs for staff upon arrival for your shift, with specific assignments for setup and during the event.
Collaborate with the maintenance team on event setup needs.
Effectively communicate with the culinary team to see what is needed for food station setups (tongs, ice, risers, and other display pieces)
Manage setup and execution of events according to the BEO, while overseeing staff and delegating assignments.
Lead a pre-shift meeting with the staff and culinary team 30 minutes prior to event start time.
Oversee staff and ensure service is always enthusiastic, efficient, and elevated.
Maintain a presence on the floor at all times, and communicate with the team when going off the floor for any reason.
Provide assistance during dinner service with expo & clearing.
Monitor the upcoming events and be proactive about getting event spaces setup for what's coming next. Event spaces must always be set for the next event as much as possible after breakdown of an event.
Send daily recap of events that occurred on property to Events Manager at the conclusion of each shift.
Ensure that the property and facilities remain neat and clean, and that event setup and breakdown is properly executed.
Oversee and organize events inventory and monitor storage locations for event furniture.
Additional Responsibilities:
Ensure that the property and facilities remain neat and clean, and take ownership of organizing The Hunt Room Pantry.
Assist with member check in at events, when needed.
Enforce club policies, such as dress code, photography, and guests.
Tend to member requests, questions, and complaints.
Assist members with dining reservations, guest suite reservations, and be knowledgeable about what's going on around the property and communicate this to members and respective staff.
Perform other duties as assigned and deemed necessary.
Requirements
Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
Ability to multitask while delegating specific tasks
Knowledge of fine dining etiquette and standards preferred
Ability to speak directly with members to resolve conflicts
Ability to be forward thinking and anticipate member needs
A high degree of professionalism and excellent personal presentation
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work in a standing position and walk for long periods of time.
Servers will regularly stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop, turn, lift, walk, and carry and lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
Appearance & Grooming Requirements:
As an elevated members-only establishment, we hold both ourselves and our members to higher appearance standards. Staff are not allowed to have facial piercings, unnatural hair colors, visible tattoos, or facial hair while at work.
