Job Details :
Contract Length : 12 months (opportunity for extension)
Shift : Weekend day shift

Summary :
Under general supervision, fabricate aircraft furniture and wood-surfaced subassemblies using aircraft specifications and engineering drawings, ensuring safety, quality, detail, and productivity.
Assist team members to enhance techniques for quality workmanship.
Fabricate furniture and wood subassemblies using blueprints, aircraft specifications, and engineering drawings.
Assemble, pin, and glue cabinet shells, and install drawer slides, hinges, latches, and hardware.
Apply exterior surface materials such as laminates, veneers, and cap strips.
Use hand and power tools to fabricate or disassemble furniture.
Follow safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies, using personal protective equipment to protect aircraft interiors.
Utilize material tracking systems to create part demand, track issues, and sign off on work.
Collaborate with lead technicians to implement process improvements using Lean Six-Sigma techniques.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills :
High School Diploma or GED required.
Basic knowledge of cabinetmaking processes, products, and tools.
2 years of cabinetmaking experience.
Aerospace industry experience preferred.
Knowledge of inspection and process specifications preferred.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Able to climb ladders, work in restricted areas, lift up to 40 lbs, and work any shift.
Must be computer literate.
