The OSP (Outside Processing) Buyer / Expeditor is responsible for identifying and selecting suppliers completing requests for quotes issuing and expediting orders closing out purchase orders and provide regular status updates to stakeholders respond to inquiries regarding OSP status and attend meetings as required to report on OSP programs and address any related questions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Identify and select primary and secondary suppliers.Complete requests for quotes and negotiate procurement contracts.Issue purchase orders and expedite orders.Verify the purchase orders and keep Purchase Order status up to date.Apply best practices to maintain company guidelines regarding price service quality and delivery.Process Return to Vendor reports and rework NonConformance reports.Initiate vendor chargeback and coordinate with various departments to process credit memos.Maintain standard cost of individual buy parts and outside services.Process invoice discrepancies.Other duties as assigned.Competencies

Bachelors degree preferred along with 23 years experience as a buyer / purchaser or equivalent experience required.Experience working within a QMS system of ISO 9001 and API Q1 an asset.Experience with ERP system required.APICS Certification preferred.Knowledge of ISO API ASTM Material Standards preferred.Knowledge of processes such as anodizing plating heat treatment process and raw material procurement preferred.Knowledge of machining special coating & other manufacturing processes preferred.Employees working on programs subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations must qualify as a US Person which is defined as a US Citizen a Permanent Resident who does not work for a foreign company / foreign government / foreign governmental agency or organization or a political asylee for legal compliance purposes.
Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities
