Summary:

• Develop design solutions for nonconforming parts and systems on airplanes, addressing build and design errors found during production.

• With Material Review Board (MRB) certification, they have the authority to revise FAA-approved type designs to account for production deviations.

• Assess and resolve product/process issues throughout the lifecycle.

• Conduct root cause analysis and develop dispositions for design non-conformances.

• Evaluate and analyze production discrepancies (electrical, functional, materials, assemblies, installations, and more).

• Represent engineering on the Material Review Board (MRB), collaborating with manufacturing and engineering teams.

• Determine corrective actions to eliminate and prevent chronic errors.

• Review and approve design revisions to improve production processes.

• Work cross-functionally to implement corrective actions and process improvements.

• Audit and review MRB activities for domestic and foreign suppliers.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.

• 10 years of related experience.

• ABET-accredited engineering degree (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Aerospace/Aeronautical).

• Willingness to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime.

Desired Skills:

• Current or previous MRB certification.
