Student Services / Coaching Advisor

The Studio Academy of Beauty, a leader in beauty education, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Student Services / Coaching Advisor to join our team. We pride ourselves on providing top-notch education in cosmetology and esthetics, and we need someone passionate about student success to help guide and coach our future beauty professionals.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in student advising, coaching, or student services functions
• Extensive experience as a licensed cosmetologist
• Strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and basic computer proficiency
• Familiarity with classroom and clinic floor operations
• A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide coaching and advice to students and prospective students on admissions, financial aid, academic requirements, and career development
• Offer guidance on life issues impacting student commitment and engagement
• Recommend policy and procedure improvements to enhance school operations
• Organize and engage students in monthly activities that promote school culture
• Address and manage student requests, suggestions, and complaints as a point of contact
• Utilize communication tools (text, email, phone) to maintain open communication with students and staff
• Maintain a professional demeanor with faculty, staff, and students at all times
• Perform additional tasks as needed to support school operations

• Work is conducted in an indoor environment and may involve sitting, standing, bending, walking, and frequent use of a computer
• Occasional domestic travel may be required for recruitment and professional development purposes

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
