The Study is a private, accredited PreK-6th grade school in Soldotna. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate full-time 1st/2nd grade Teacher to join our educational team. Applicants must enjoy working with children, have the ability to multitask and be able to direct groups of kids in an encouraging, positive way. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum
- Provide engaging and interactive learning experiences for students
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to create a positive learning environment
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress
- Monitor and assess student performance to track individual progress
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience
- Implement strategies to support students with special educational needs
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field and or experience
- State teaching certification or licensure not required but preferred
- Proven experience in classroom management and lesson planning
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Knowledge of child welfare and development principles
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
