Position Summary
The Human Resources role with Sugarman of Vermont is responsible for the overall human resource functions and provides the general support and direction to the management team on employee relations, compensation, compliance, legal requirements and administers benefit and retirement savings plans for employees. Essential Functions
- Provides guidance to management and employees on personnel, employee relations issues and performance.
- Provides training and professional development opportunities to all employees.
- Provides training to all employees on legal issues such as sexual harassment.
- Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions.
- Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carriers.
- Ensures all recruiting and hiring practices are in legal compliance.
- Process weekly payroll and maintain payroll records.
- Oversees, recruits, interviews and assists in the selection of new employees.
- Administers new employee orientation.
- Manages all employee personnel files.
- Administers performance review program.
