SUPERVISED AND EVALUATED BY: Billing Manager
JOB SUMMARY: Serve as a billing specialist who provides billing expertise and assists in revenue generation, accounts receivable tracking and monitoring, internal compliance audits, general accounting duties, and maintenance of Agency’s consumer database.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be able to consistently and successfully perform all essential functions of the position.
- Perform billing and accounts receivable activities
- Perform cash receipt activities
- Assist in maintaining, developing and ensuring data integrity of the agency consumer database systems
- Perform general accounting tasks and reporting responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of position skill and/or ability required.
- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associates Degree in Accounting; 2 year’s experience in a Medicaid, 3rd party billing environment, SED or in DOH-EI; proficiency in Microsoft Office product suite, particularly Excel spreadsheets; strong knowledge of accounting systems required
- CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None
- COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Employee displays the ability to convey information to another effectively and efficiently. Displays good verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills to help facilitate meaningful sharing of information between people within the organization as well as outside of the organization when necessary. Demonstrates excellent customer service skills to all stakeholders. Stakeholders include but are not limited to, individuals served, peers, supervisors, and external contacts.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Due to the behavioral disorders of some of the children we serve, persons may be at risk of intentional or unintentional acts of aggression (e.g., hitting, kicking, and biting). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
COMPENSATION - $17.60 - $26.40 per hour based on experience
SCHEDULE - Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm OR 9am - 5pm
Salary : $18 - $26
