We are currently seeking a Senior Scheduler to support a diverse range of clients in both the federal and private sectors. This role will involve direct collaboration with clients and the project management team to review and validate project schedules and monthly pay applications, establish cost and schedule baselines, collect and analyze monthly status updates, assess project progress and variances, and generate standardized reports to ensure compliance and accuracy.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, facilitate meetings, and work independently. This remote position requires periodic travel to client sites and necessitates availability during Eastern Time Zone office hours.
Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Schedule Review & Compliance: Evaluate contractor-submitted schedules for accuracy, logic, and adherence to contractual requirements, providing detailed feedback and recommendations for improvement.
- Schedule Analysis: Identify and analyze schedule progress, resource productivity, and critical variances to mitigate risks and optimize schedule performance.
- Change Impact Assessment: Perform Time Impact Analysis (TIA), develop fragnets, and evaluate the cost and schedule implications of project changes.
- Claims and Requests for Equitable Adjustments (REA): Review and analyze TIAs and REAs, documenting findings and supporting negotiations as needed.
- Forecasting & Reporting: Generate time-phased project cost and resource forecasts, update requirements, and produce detailed financial and status reports, including earned value metrics and cost/schedule trends.
- Risk Assessment: Identify risks and opportunities within project and contractor schedules, integrating findings into overall project plans and recommending mitigation strategies.
- Critical Path Scheduling: Create, update, and analyze project schedules using the Critical Path Method (CPM) for complex, high-value projects or portfolios, ensuring compliance with contract specifications.
- Progress Monitoring: Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and team members to gather updates, monitor project status, and ensure accurate scheduling data, including resource requirements, subcontractor commitments, and earned value metrics.
- Compliance & Oversight: Confirm adherence to contractual obligations, internal controls, and federal regulations, ensuring the integrity of all project controls processes.
- Client & Stakeholder Collaboration: Present findings in formal meetings, facilitate discussions on schedule impacts, and align project goals with all stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- 7 years minimum of Project Controls experience
- Intermediate to Expert level P6 user
- Proficiency in both schedule and cost control
- Intermediate to Expert level of Project Management knowledge
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field; OR
- 10 years of relevant project controls experience in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Certifications & Experience:
- AACE Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) certification preferred, but not required.
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred, but not required.
- Experience supporting scheduling efforts in a remote / hybrid work environment.
