OFFICE / RESERVATIONS MANAGER
Technical Position Expectations:
- Office Management: The Office/Reservations Manager is responsible for the overall cleanliness and organization of the office space.
- Inventory: The Office/Reservations Manager is responsible for communicating inventory needs as they relate to the office supplies, menus, and service supplies (check presenters, coasters, drink/meal tickets, etc)
- Guest Communication: The Office/Reservations Manager is responsible for answering the phone during working hours. This role requires extensive knowledge of The Surf Lodge operations, general details about Montauk and The Hamptons, and a warm demeanor. This role is also responsible for monitoring and managing the info@thesurflodge.com and dining@thesurflodge.com email addresses.
- Reservation Platform Service Settings: The Office/Reservations Manager is responsible for maintaining and updating Service Settings on the reservations platform, including but not limited to: making adjustments to table availability, opening/closing shifts, adding/updating special booking events/ticketed events, and monitoring guest communications.
- Booking Reservations: The Office/Reservations Manager is the first point of contact for guests and potential guests regarding reservations. These tasks include: booking reservations, adjusting or cancelling reservations, charging cancellation/no show fees, and collecting guest data (including contact information and credit card information for booking).
- Large Party Reservations: The Office/Reservations Manager is responsible for fielding large party reservation inquiries. This includes all reservation requests from 10-25 people for prix fixe dining in the main restaurant.
Hours:
- The Office/Reservations Manager role is a full-time position, which requires fully dedicating all business time to executing the above responsibilities and tasks. This position is not eligible for overtime pay should 40 hours per week be exceeded, but will be paid an additional day-rate for any days worked beyond five (5).
