What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Teacher for Older Infant Classroom position at The Sweetgrass School?
Duties:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for older infant children.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide individualized support as needed.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's education and care.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
- Follow all licensing regulations and maintain accurate records.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of children.
- Strong organizational skills to plan lessons, manage classroom materials, and maintain records.
Note: Experience in physical education, daycare, early childhood education is a plus but not required for this position.
