Facilities Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and care of our physical facilities, including repairs and improvements. This will involve performing preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, equipment, and grounds, utilizing multiple trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and roofing, HVAC, and other skills as needed.
This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, as well as effective communication and project management skills.
Duties:
- Create and manage preventive maintenance schedules for facilities and equipment.
- Establish and oversee monitoring and servicing schedules for safety equipment.
- Plan, execute, and/or supervise in-house maintenance, repairs, construction, and remodeling projects.
- Source, evaluate, and manage subcontractors for maintenance, construction, and repair work.
- Direct snow and ice removal operations to ensure timely completion before business hours.
- Oversee disposal operations, including solid waste, recyclables, and hazardous materials.
- Manage maintenance, and operation of security, alarm, fire suppression, and monitoring systems.
- Develop and maintain a regular cleaning schedule to ensure facilities remain neat, professional, and safe.
- Collect and dispose of trash, replacing liners as needed.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain regular attendance as an essential job function.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 5 years of maintenance and/or safety experience in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Industrial facility management background.
- Variety of trade skills (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC).
- High school diploma or GED; associate's degree or higher preferred.
