We are a payroll company that specializes in union payroll. Candidate must be detail oriented, organized and be able to work as a member of a team. Excellent communication skills are a required.
The overall purpose of this position is to process the daily transactions for the business.
He or she must be a technologically savvy knowledge worker who seeks out technology solutions to business challenges. Specific technology knowledge and experience needed to produce the desired outcomes include the following:
He/she must have a strong command of business English. He/she must be able to offer a warm but business-like presence through the spoken word. Fluent interaction with all levels of staff and customers.
He or she must have knowledge of accounting principles.
He/she must be proficient in preparing standard correspondence using correct grammar, spelling and syntax, while providing accurate information.
He or she must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
He or she must have proficiency with office productivity applications and aptitude for learning new systems.
He or she must be able to work well with a team.

Job Summary

- Prepare and enter union reporting.
- Maintain accurate reporting, filing and database management in multiple systems
- Enter payables and perform associated check runs
- Record bank transfers and payroll tax deposits
- Update payroll tax reconciliation worksheets
- Payroll for clients twice weekly
- Track and pay garnishments
- Employee master setup review to ensure accurate payroll
- Special project assignment
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Accounting
- 3-5 years accounting experience
