Seeking Payroll Tax professional to undertake responsibility for the following activities including compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and filing of local, state, and federal payroll tax returns. Daily duties will encompass :
- Prepare EFTPS worksheets for federal tax filings
- Make tax payments electronically or over the phone
- Prepare check requests and coupons for state and local taxes (pay and file electronically)
- Research and reconcile tax liabilities and payments to GL (monthly)
- Prepare and maintain Excel spreadsheets of Schedule B tax payments
- Maintain tax spreadsheets with taxable wages, taxes withheld and taxes paid by reporting frequency
- Assist with preparation of quarterly 941, 940 (FUTA) and SUI tax returns and payments
- Assist with reconciliation of annual state and local reporting
- Assist with reconciliation, printing and mailing of W-2’s
- Create and maintain business process documentation related to all payroll tax filings and system updates.
- Communicate systems and tax changes to business end users through excellent written and oral communications
- Responsible for learning how the various software and tools utilized by the company interact to update taxes and rates within SAP (e.g.,TUBS, HRSP’s, etc.)
- Responsible for researching and rectifying any system errors within the SAP Payroll System accurately, timely, and in accordance to Federal, State, and Local guidelines
- Establish and maintain relationships with key Corporate and Divisional personnel

Essential Qualifications
Communication Skills
This position requires the ability to read, write, analyze and interpret instructions, professional documents, and business publications. This position also requires the ability to respond to federal and state correspondence and / or IRS publication manuals. This position requires proficiency in both oral and written communication
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Payroll Certification – FPC or CPP or actively working toward obtaining professional payroll certification
Two (2) years of experience processing payroll utilizing SAP , specifically in the areas of transaction management, OM / PA processing payroll, running reports, translating results tables and knowledge of wage types
Experience with SAP, Payroll and the standard SAP processes and reporting tools
