Overview
The Tampa General Hospital is a 244-bed Health System Joint Commission, Accredited Chest Pain Center, and Primary Stroke Center. Our care services include a surgery program, a dedicated orthopedic joint replacement center, and two cardiac catheterization labs. The joint replacement program offers robotic-arm assisted partial knee and total hip replacement surgeries.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Evaluates assigned patients and develops comprehensive nursing plans to implement and document high-quality patient care.
- Assists physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective communication.
- Conducts patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice for registered nurses, promoting accurate diagnosis and treatment.
- Promotes patients' independence by establishing achievable care goals and providing education on self-care skills, medication management, and condition awareness.
- Utilizes experience and judgment to plan and accomplish nursing goals, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
Requirements
- Current FL RN license.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing, Bachelor's preferred.
- BLS, ACLS & NIHSS certifications through ARC or AHA.
- A minimum of one year's Acute Care RN experience, with consideration given to New Grads.
