Duties/Responsibilities:
- Drives industrial sweeper through designated areas, such as roadways, parking lots, and shipping areas to collect dirt and other debris.
- Empties trash collecting boxes or bags at the end of each shift.
- Cleans machine, using rags and vacuum cleaner.
- Refuels machine and lubricate parts when necessary.
- May hand sweep areas inaccessible to machine and pick up scrap.
- Preventive maintenance responsibilities on US Pipe Fleet including complete lube changes, oil changes, filter services, and brake adjustments.
- Coolant System maintenance to include draining and refilling.
- Check all vehicle fluids and make general repairs when necessary.
- Checks oil levels, as well as things such as the status of tires, air filters, windshield wiper fluid, brake fluid, and engine coolant.
- Changes worn out or broken belts, hoses, spark plugs or windshield wiper blades.
- Maintains records of all maintenance performed.
- Cleans and maintains the garage area as needed.
- Assists mechanics and performs other duties as directed.
- Understands and adheres to all safety standards.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to read and interpret instructions.
- Must pass test to operate sweeper
- Physical ability sufficient to perform routine tasks.
- May require some lifting.
