Position Summary
2024 Summer Internship Program:
TCW sponsors a summer internship program for undergraduate and graduate students desiring to pursue a career in asset management or a related field.
While working at TCW they will connect and network with colleagues in various departments to develop, nurture and achieve their career goals. Along with the valuable hands-on experience the interns will gain working in their assigned groups, TCW’s intern program also includes events and sessions designed to educate interns about the asset management industry and help interns build their professional network. The summer intern program typically runs from mid-June through mid-August, a total of 8-10 weeks.
Essential Duties
For Summer 2024, we are excited to announce internship opportunities in several business areas that include investment, investment support, technology, and other corporate administration groups. We will be recruiting for positions in our Los Angeles and New York offices. We expect most of our 2024 internship positions to be onsite at one of the two TCW offices mentioned above, with some positions having the flexibility to offer a hybrid model (partially onsite and partially working from home).
Required Qualifications
Candidates for the summer intern program must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time they participate in the internship, and be available to work full-time for the duration of the program (approximately 8 to 10 weeks). A strong interest to work in/gain exposure to the asset management industry is desired by most departments. Demonstrated academic achievement in their field of study is highly preferred.
Typically, in most of the intern roles, we seek candidates who demonstrate strong communication and organization skills. We also seek candidates who are excellent team players that work well with others to achieve the team objectives. Strong detail-orientation and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment are also desired.
