Position Summary
TCW has an exciting opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to join our Corporate Finance Accounting team. The Associate Accountant will be responsible for assisting daily accounts payable processes, account reconciliations, as well as supporting schedules for interim and annual audits. The position will also complete other special projects assigned by the manager. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) including application of those principles is required. The successful incumbent will have the opportunity to interact with various internal teams to develop new and innovative ways of achieving specific goals while providing superior service under tight deadlines.
Essential Duties
- Review, code, and process invoices for payment via Workday Accounting System, ensuring accuracy.
- Review, code, and process expense reports for payment via SAP Concur Expense, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies, as well as sufficiency of supporting documents.
- Upload vendor data and spend category codes from Excel to Workday Accounting System, when necessary.
- Assist in month-end close procedures, which may include preparing account reconciliations and variance analyses along with related investigation and resolution.
- Address questions from employees throughout the company regarding firm expense policies.
- Prepare daily and periodic outgoing payments.
- Prepare supporting documentation for audits and interact with auditors as needed.
- Support team in ad-hoc projects as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and their proper application to financial institutions and general business transactions.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable or related general accounting.
- Proficiency in Excel required and working knowledge of Word.

Estimated Compensation:
Base Salary: For CA based position, the base salary range is $75K-$80K. This is an anticipated range for base salary.
Other Compensation: Eligible to be considered for an annual discretionary bonus
