Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant/Floater Preschool Teacher to join our team in a private school setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching young children and a deep understanding of their developmental needs. The successful applicant will have the ability to help create engaging lesson plans, manage a classroom effectively, and provide individualized care and support to our students.
Responsibilities
· Assisting lead teacher in classrooms from age 6 weeks to 12 years
· Teaching basic skills such as color, shape, numbers, and letter recognition
· Plan and help carry out curriculum.
· Assist children develop positive self-images and experience success
· Encouraging the exploration of interests and developmental social and emotional skills
· Assist with developing schedules and routines ensuring physical activity, rest, and playtime
· Teaching children how to play fairly with others
· Disciplining with positive redirection
· Assist the lead teacher observe, assess, and document each assigned child’s health, skills, behavior, growth, and development
· Meet with parents to discuss milestones and concerns
· Optimizing children’s developmental, intellectual, and social achievements in class activities
· Feeding, diapering, potty training
· Record keeping for diapering, feeding and all milestones.

This position is a floating assistant teacher position, you would either be filling in for the lead teacher, assistant teacher, or reliving a teacher in any of our classrooms. This is a somewhat flexible position, for either a part time or fulltime employee.

Pay: $13.50 - $15.00 per hour
