Position Overview:
The Activities Director is responsible for creating and implementing a dynamic and stimulating activity program that promotes physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being. This role requires an outgoing, warm, and compassionate individual who excels at building relationships with residents, families, and the community. The goal is to cultivate an environment that fosters connection and engagement for all residents, from the highly active to those with declining physical abilities.
Responsibilities Include:
- Developing and coordinating a robust monthly activities calendar that caters to a variety of interests and abilities.
- Educating and encouraging team members to create meaningful connections with residents.
- Welcoming new residents and their families, ensuring a smooth and engaging transition.
- Collaborating with local organizations and volunteers to bring engaging programs and events into the community.
- Decorating and preparing the community’s common areas for special events and holidays.
