This is NOT an ordinary teaching job. As a Middle School Teacher with us,* you’ll lead engaging, TEKS-aligned instruction in your subject area while also playing a key role in our Flex Day Program—where learning extends beyond the classroom.*

Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development and Instruction
- Design and implement engaging, TEKS-aligned lesson plans that align with The Texas Girls School’s mission and vision.
- Ensure lessons are developmentally appropriate and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Incorporate STEM, project-based learning, and interdisciplinary connections to enhance real-world learning experiences.
Classroom Management
- Establish and maintain a positive and structured learning environment aligned with the school's code of conduct.
- Foster respectful and engaging classroom culture while ensuring all students are supported academically and socially.
Student Assessment and Feedback
- Conduct regular formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to help students achieve their academic goals.
- Use data-driven instruction to adapt lessons and interventions as needed.
Parental Communication and Engagement
- Develop and sustain meaningful partnerships with parents to support student growth.
- Communicate student progress, strengths, and areas for improvement effectively.
- Address concerns proactively and collaborate to ensure student success.
Professional Development
- Participate in ongoing professional learning in PBL, STEM, and best practices for all-girls education.
- Stay current with educational trends and strategies that enhance student learning and engagement.
- Contribute to the school’s academic strategic planning and instructional innovation.
Extracurricular Involvement
- Plan and co-lead Flex Day activities that provide hands-on, real-world learning experiences.
- Supervise students during field trips, school events, and enrichment activities to extend learning beyond the classroom.
- Take initiative in student clubs, competitions, or other extracurricular programs that align with your expertise.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of 3 years teaching experience
Experience in charter schools and fast-paced environments preferred
Experience in STEM, project-based learning (PBL), and/or single-gender education is a plus
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary: $58K range (aligned with local school districts) benefits
- Employment is TRS eligible
- Afterschool stipend opportunities available
