What are the responsibilities and job description for the Architectural Designer/Draftsman position at The Thrasher Group?

Our Buildings and Facilities team utilizes today’s most cutting-edge technology to collaborate with our clients and deliver unique spaces with both function and style. Whether it is a historical renovation, health care design, tenant fit-out or a brand-new facility, Thrasher can help design your project from concept to completion. We are looking for an Architectural Designer/Draftsman to support our team in our Charleston, West Virginia, office location.
Essential duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Design and draft using Revit and other applications to bring the concept and idea of the project stakeholders of both new construction and renovation.
- Produce high quality deliverables for clients at all stages of the design process.
- Gain an understanding of building systems, codes, and construction methods.
- Produce architectural/interior design work on projects and assist in the preparation of construction documents on assigned projects.
- Assist with design calculations, quantities, review technical specifications and design estimates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, or related field. Masters degree is preferred.
- 1 – 3 years of industry experience
- Proficient with Revit and Lumion or similar 3D modeling software.
- Possess strong time management and communication skills.
- Possess the ability to work independent and collaboratively.
