We are looking for the following:
1 Full Time position with the possibility of being on call on a limited basis.
1 Part Time position, Saturday only, 8 AM-1PM with the possibility of being on call on a limited basis.
Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting the chief maintenance engineer in maintaining the hotel's assets through ongoing preventative maintenance and ensuring all mechanical systems operate
The maintenance technician assists the chief maintenance engineer in maintaining the hotel's assets through ongoing preventative maintenance and ensuring all mechanical systems operate in accordance with company standards. As Columbia's only 4-Diamond luxury boutique hotel, standards and the level of services must be exceptional.

Your day-to-day:
Be a friendly face and lend a helping hand to our valued guests. Repair or replace items around the hotel, while prioritizing the guests’ needs. Maintain proper rapport with the Chief Maintenance Engineer by providing daily updates on your progress. Inspect, organize, and maintain supplies and communicate ordering needs to your supervisor when supplies are running low.Be ready to take on extra duties when the team needs you, not excluding other departments. Live up to high safety standards – follow guidelines and tell your supervisor about any incidents, dangerous conditions or unsafe equipment. Always keep an eye out for improvements – follow the preventative maintenance calendar and keep everything working and efficient at all times
Skills and experience needed: Experience - A minimum of two years of general maintenance experience, with hotel-specific experience preferred. Knowledge - General knowledge and familiarity with painting, sheetrock and plaster repair, carpet repairs, electrical repairs, general plumbing, and HVAC Certification (preferred). Fitness - You will be on your feet most of the day and will be required to bend and kneel frequently; must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Other Key Requirements - Must be at least 21 years of age, have a High School Diploma or GED, Must have a valid Driver’s License, Exemplary customer service skills.

Pay: $19.00 - $27.00 per hour
