What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Manager position at The Tool & Gage House?
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Some of the duties of the Site manager are (but are not limited to):
- Oversee and manage all aspects of gauge and torque tool calibrations.
- Responsible for all administration required to maintain contracted duties.
- Responsible for all procedures, work instructions, and forms utilized in the day-to-day operation.
- Responsible for creating/maintaining a team atmosphere through effective communication, constructive feedback, corrective actions, and incentives to perform.
- Responsible for Monthly Quality Reports as required by Management.
- Primary on-site contact for any special requests not covered in the contract.
- Liaison for Tool & Gage personnel.
- Responsible for management services in accordance with ISO-9000 or site-stated accreditation and stated policies and procedures
- Providing direction, training, and leadership of the T&G personnel related to the contract.
- Responsible for managing the Safety Committee and ensuring the site is OSHA compliant.
- Ensure all TGH responsible areas are 5S maintained.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Qualifications include an associate's degree in engineering or a related field, along with one (1) year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- The role requires strong oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with various levels of internal and external customers. Candidates must be able to solve practical problems and work efficiently under tight deadlines. Superior negotiation and presentation skills are essential. Attention to detail is a must, and a proactive approach to all business aspects is required. A mentality focused on continuous improvement is also important.
- The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background, either through academic study or hands-on experience. While a background in precision metrology is preferred, candidates with experience in electronics, medical device manufacturing, food and drug manufacturing, or other related fields where accuracy and precision are essential will also be considered.
- Candidates should have familiarity with international standards, preferably ISO/IEC 17025, ASME B89, and ISO 9001. Successful candidates will stand out by demonstrating the ability to manage immediate emergencies while maintaining a focus on long-term objectives, making critical decisions multiple times a day.
- Strong communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work well in a team environment are essential. Candidates should also possess proficiency in basic computer software applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet use. Additionally, strong mathematical skills are required for this role.
