ABOUT THE JOB:

The Tooth Shop of Ocala is an established, state-of-the-art, private, general dentistry practice. We are currently seeking a full-time dental assistant to join our awesome (and we really are) team. Our employees are friendly, talented, and system-oriented. We prioritize the use of the latest technology (including digital x-rays and charting, CAD/CAM, and CBCT) in order to provide the highest quality patient care. We LOVE what technology can do for our patients! The practice is very team-driven with an emphasis on collaboration. We really do like coming to work! YOUR HISTORY LIKELY SHOWS:

• 1 or more years of experience in a dental practice
• Current Florida EFDA certification
• Strong organizational and administrative skills—you see what needs to be done and do it
• Ability to multitask, take initiative and anticipate the needs of others
• Ability to project a positive, warm, and professional image in person and on the phone

SALARY IS COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE. WE OFFER MULTIPLE LEVELS OF ASSISTING WITHIN OUR PRACTICE FROM ENTRY LEVEL, INTERMEDIATE LEVEL, AND ADVANCED LEVEL.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO :

• Assist the dentist chairside during procedures using four-handed dentistry
• Knowledge of steps for dental procedures
• Proficiently take digital x-rays and intra-oral photos
• Take 3D scans and alginate impressions
• Fabricate temporary crowns and bridges
• Properly set and and break down ops for various procedures
• Maintain aseptic and sterilization techniques
