What are the responsibilities and job description for the Daycare Teacher position at The Tot Lot Daycare & Preschool Center?
This is a Monday-Friday position with hours varying from 7am-6pm.
Duties:
- Create and complete age-appropriate lesson plans for children in the classroom
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Utilize curriculum provided to help children learn and grow
- Use effective classroom management techniques to promote positive behavior and engagement
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning environment
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and any concerns
Requirements:
- Not required, but preferred: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a preschool or daycare setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and handle behavior management situations
- Passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
