Position Description
The Project Manager will provide operational and administrative oversight of TEF’s PA Industry Partnership Grant. The goal of the project is to implement a robust Nurse Aide Training Hub in the Southern Alleghenies, Westmoreland-Fayette, and Three Rivers Workforce Development regions. The purpose is to address the nurse aide shortage in this region and provide under- and unemployed individuals the opportunity to be trained in a high-demand career field. The manager will ensure that the project adheres to the proposed timeline, prepares the necessary reporting documents for the state, attends quarterly state grant meetings, work with community and industry partners to identify potential participants and employment opportunities and ensure proper pre- and post- assessments are identified and in place, including a final project assessment. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle a variety of challenges that can arise during the lifecycle of a project.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations and progress of TEF’s PA Industry Partnership grant program.
- Communicate program progress and concerns to supervisor and executive director.
- Ensure that program implementation steps, deliverables, and outcomes are on target.
- With the assistance of the Director of Communications, develop a marketing plan for the Nurse Aide Training Hub.
- Develop and foster relationships with industry partners, including educational institutions, local workforce and community agencies, nursing facilities, and regional employers to establish a robust recruitment pipeline.
- Identify both qualitative and quantitative data that will be utilized to determine how the program will be evaluated.
- Together with the Case Manager, develop and implement recruitment and retention strategies to ensure the effective enrollment of qualified candidates and support their successful completion of the program.
- Oversee final assessment and evaluation of the program.
- Complete required grant reports, including progress and budget reports.
- Professionally represent the Fund’s programs, mission, and values.
- Participate on departmental and organizational committees.
- Attend required meetings, events, and retreats.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in workforce development, education/training, or healthcare.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
- Self-motivated and able to meet expected outcomes.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work through issues that arise and implement solutions.
- Strong computer and technology skills.
- Experience with Zoom, Google Suite, and Salesforce is preferred, but not required.
- Experience with program or training assessment and evaluation is preferred.
- Supportive of union environments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Workforce Development, Social Work, Psychology, Health Science, Nursing, or a related field.
- Master’s degree is preferred, but not required.
- Criminal History background check required.
- Valid PA Driver’s license, reliable vehicle and vehicle insurance. Must be able to travel in designated region.
