What is ABA Therapy?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a well-researched, scientifically backed method used to teach new skills and improve behaviors in individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. ABA therapy helps children achieve their potential by promoting positive behaviors, communication skills, and social interactions.
What You'll Do:
- Apply ABA Strategies: Implement individualized ABA techniques to help students meet their behavioral and educational goals.
- Facilitate Therapy: Lead both individual and group therapy sessions using proven ABA methods.
- Collaborate: Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure consistent, effective behavioral support.
- Track Progress: Keep detailed records of student progress and therapy outcomes, providing regular updates to parents and collaborating with your BCBA.
- Travel: Flexibility to work across multiple schools within the district as required.
What We're Looking For:
- Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- Experience: Prior experience in ABA therapy or related fields is a plus.
- Certification: RBT certification is preferred, but not required.
- Skills: Strong understanding of ABA principles and excellent communication skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and manage other physical demands of the role.
- Travel Flexibility: Ability to travel between schools within the district.
Position Details:
- Hours: Part-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
- Salary: $22 to $27 per hour, based on experience.
