The Director of Clinical Services at The Tristesse Grief Center leads all clinical programs, providing oversight, supervision, and strategic direction for counseling services. This role ensures high-quality, trauma-informed care for clients, supervises clinical staff, manages program development, and maintains compliance with clinical standards and best practices. It's a leadership role focused on making a meaningful impact in the lives of those navigating grief and loss.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Leadership & Operations (50%)- Oversee day-to-day operations of the counseling clinic, ensuring efficient workflows and the highest standards of care.
- Supervise, support, and mentor clinical staff, including counselors, social workers, and interns.
- Monitor client satisfaction, gather feedback, and implement necessary changes to improve the client experience.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and leadership team on program development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate and participate in regular team meetings to foster collaboration, address challenges, and promote a positive work environment.
- Other duties as assigned
- Provide individual, family, and group counseling services for clients of all ages
- Maintain accurate, confidential records of client sessions in accordance with HIPAA and organizational guidelines.
- Provides Clinical Oversight: Ensures all grief-related activities and interventions are developmentally appropriate and aligned with best practices in bereavement care.
- Supervises and Supports Staff/Volunteers: Trains and supervises staff, clinicians, and volunteers to deliver therapeutic support throughout the camp experience.
- Develops Camp Programming: Designs and implements therapeutic activities that help campers process grief in healthy ways (e.g., art therapy, memory sharing, coping skills workshops).
- Crisis Management: Responds to and manages emotional or behavioral crises during camp, providing direct clinical support as needed.
- Family Coordination: Communicates with families before, during, and after camp to assess needs, offer resources, and ensure continuity of care.
- Ensures Camper Well-being: Monitors the emotional health of campers throughout the camp, providing individual or group interventions when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned
- Education: Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current licensure in good standing in the state of OK
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a counseling setting, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or administrative role.
- Preferred experience in grief counseling or a similar field.
- Preferred Experience in program development and implementation.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage and mentor clinical staff
- Proficiency in developing and implementing clinic policies and protocols.
