The Truck Shop is a busy commercial truck and trailer dealership. For decades, we have been the Northwest's go to, one-stop shop for all of our customer's commercial trucking needs. We are a family-owned and operated business offering complete and customizable solutions for our customers. We are large enough to handle the biggest fleets and small enough to care about the single truck owner.
We are looking for a trailer sales person to join our Truck Shop Portland team! Our trailer sales person will build a new portfolio of business. You will be a go getter, a team player, customer service focused and a hungry sales person!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to actively seek out business, set appointments, and execute sales methods and policies.
- Timely and accurate documentation of appointment results and sales paperwork (both digital and paper).
- Timely, accurate, and consistent communication with Sales Management and Clients.
- Conduct consumer facing sales presentations to demonstrate to potential clients our product offerings and potential.
- Establish and maintain healthy, long-term relationships with clients to generate repeat business and referrals.
- Discover and anticipate customer needs, then offer solutions using our company's services or products.
- Research sales statistics and establish sales potential with new businesses in our target area.
- Use promotional methods such as phone calls, emails, and social media to reach potential clients and build long-lasting business relationships
- Become an expert in our product lines and serve as a go-to source for clients who want more information concerning our products.
- Assemble product displays in a given market
- Determine new ways to make products appealing by observing the environment and current trends.
QUALIFICATIONS to perform job successfully:
- Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Must have valid Washington State Driver's License
- Must have a clean driving record
Physical requirements:
- Frequently: Standing, walking, sitting for long periods
- Occasionally: Lifting up to 50 lbs
Work Environment:
This position requires one to work both in an office and outdoors as needed. There is a moderate level of noise, heat, cold, dust, and dirt
Pay Structure:
Base Salary Commission
Schedule:
Mon - Fri, 8am - 5pm
Some weekends and hours outside of regular business hours
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
