Core Purpose
The Trust Administrative Assistant will assist Trust Officer(s) with the daily administration of trust accounts, including processing transactions, managing account operations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Trust Specialist will also provide essential support by reviewing documents and communicating with clients to deliver a seamless experience.

Responsibilities
▪Shows a commitment to The Trust Company’s Mission, Core Values, and Client Promise.
▪Leads a team of consultants to support the continued expansion and success of business advisory services.
▪Participates in community and industry organizations to promote Business Advisory Services and create awareness.
▪Manages vendor relationships and requests.
▪Coordinates the Business Owner Roundtable Series.
▪Develops plans for the expansion of offerings to include outsourced CFO services.
▪Conducts in-depth consultations with business owners to assess their exit objectives, financial readiness, and personal aspirations.
▪Gathers and analyzes financial documents, business metrics, and personal wealth data to understand the client's overall situation.
▪Utilizes planning tools and software to develop customized exit strategies and present recommendations for transitioning ownership, maximizing value, and meeting personal financial goals
▪Collaborates with the client's advisory team (e.g., attorneys, CPAs, financial advisors) to ensure a cohesive and actionable exit plan.
▪Evaluates the client's financial position to ensure their exit strategy supports post-exit financial independence by identifying gaps in the owner’s current financial situation and recommending solutions.
▪Incorporates tax planning, wealth preservation, and investment strategies into the exit plan.
▪Advises the client on strategies for developing internal leadership or preparing the business for external sale.
▪Provides guidance on succession planning for family-owned businesses or closely held companies.
▪Assesses business valuation reports and identifies opportunities for value enhancement.
▪Implements strategies to increase business attractiveness and readiness for sale.
▪Supports clients throughout the implementation of their exit plans, ensuring milestones are met.
▪Conducts periodic reviews of plans to adapt to changing personal or market circumstances.
▪Educates clients and advisors on exit planning best practices.
▪Builds and maintains strong, long-term relationships with clients and referral sources.
▪Develops network within the privately held business community calling on BAS specific Centers of Influence for business development.
▪Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
•MBA, master’s in accountancy or JD
•10 years of experience in financial planning, business consulting, or a related field
•Management experience preferred
•Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or similar credential is preferred
•Certified Business Exit Consultant (CBEC), Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CExP), or Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) required within 12 months of accepting the position
•Prior experience in exit planning, business valuation, or succession planning preferred
•Strong understanding of financial analysis, business structures, and tax implications related to exit planning
•Proficiency with financial planning software and exit planning tools (Exit Map, Capitaliz, Money Guide Pro, RightCapital, and Holistiplan)
•Ability to successfully work in a team setting with internal and external advisors
•Problem-solving skills and the ability to find unique/creative solutions to problems
•Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
•Proven ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously
