Job Summary
The Technical Associate/Event Technician will operate the projection and cinema systems for regularly scheduled screenings and assist in the technical needs and logistics of events and usage of the various spaces within The United Theatre.
The Cinema and Event Technician works under the general supervision of the Technical Director and supports others in the organization.
Responsibilities
- Operation of projectors and cinema servers for film screenings
- Operation and setup of sound and audio equipment throughout the property
- Operation and setup of lighting and electrical systems throughout the facility
- Assist with all load-ins, lighting hangs, sound or projection installation, and riser, staging, and seating setup when required
- Assist with Front of house duties and programs for foh sales and set ups
- Assist and lead crew to set up and break down chairs for auditorium
- Other duties as assigned

- A commitment to The United’s non-profit mission; experience in the non-profit or arts sector a plus
