What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Counselor (Seasonal) position at The University Club of MSU?
Scope – Part- or Full-time, 30-40 hours weekly, summer-only. Engage in fun activities with elementary-aged member children in weekly-themed summer recreation day-camps. Camps start June 16th, and run seven weeks through August 8th (the week of July 1st is off!). Pre-camp meetings and training is scheduled in May, with camp room set-up in June. Our camp experience is unlike others. You'll work in a refined atmosphere with exemplary levels of personal service in a destination-resort-style complex in a lovely atmosphere.
Qualifications – Successful candidates will be engaging, caring, and energetic. You should have experience with children, coaching, or be in pursuit of a degree related to children or education. Your ability to communicate effectively with children and adults, should reflect a deep understanding of age-appropriate child development practices that meet the social, emotional, and physical needs of children. Your enthusiasm, leadership, and level-headedness should guide others’ actions.
