- The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus, a part of a rich legacy of compassionate care since 1909, now offers 378 licensed beds, a history of innovation, and strong community support.
The Privacy officer serves as the designated official responsible for the organization’s Privacy Programing for the hospital, physician clinics and ambulatory surgery center. The privacy officer oversees the development, implementation maintenance and compliance with the privacy program. The Patient Advocate serves as the patient representative and facilitates the processing and resolution of complaints of patients and/or family members. Reports to the Director of Risk Management/Compliance Officer.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in healthcare-related field.
- Minimum five years’ administrative experience in a healthcare setting. Knowledge of federal and state HIPAA privacy laws and regulations
Job Preferred Requirements:
- Healthcare related data collection, analysis and reporting preferred
- Master’s Degree preferred
- CHPC, CHPS or CHC certification preferred.
