What are the responsibilities and job description for the Postgraduate Administrator (Professional Doctorates) position at The University of Manchester?
This post will be based within the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health’s Doctoral Academy which supports all postgraduate researchers (PGR) in the Faculty. The successful candidate will support the operational delivery of the Clinical Psychology Professional Doctorate Programme and help in the delivery of activities from admission to graduation. This is a job share opportunity, 0.4 FTE - 14 hours per week.
The Doctorate in Clinical Psychology is a three-year programme which includes an academic taught element, a Doctoral Research project and clinical training. It is run in close collaboration between the University and clinical psychologists in north-west England. The programme trains practitioners who are required to fulfil the responsibilities and duties of clinical psychologists in a range of settings. Trainees are employed by the local mental Health NHS Trusts during their training.
The ideal candidate will have strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with an ability to multi-task and work to competing deadlines. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills in order to build strong working relationships with academic and professional services colleagues across the institution, as well as with external stakeholders within the NHS. You will be required to work closely with the Programme Team and Doctoral Academy
It will be advantageous for the candidate to have experience of working within high education, ideally within a programme or student support role.
