Position Summary
This position is part of a funded research effort ongenerative AI and learning. The position is for a 0.33 FTE research assistant professorfor 15 months. In order to meet the stated objectives andapproved budget for this project, this position will assist withmanaging and executing the research initiative. Tasks include mapping out andbuilding the necessary testing conditions, co-writing and filing a successfulIRB protocol, recruiting participants, managing completed consent forms,gathering and prepping data, analyzing data, writing and presenting results,and assisting with the preparation of grant proposals for continued funding.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must hold a Ph.D. in learning sciences, instructionaldesign, instructional technology or a related field
- Experience designing and conducting research
- Demonstrated knowledge of learning theories
- Demonstrated knowledge on the use of generative AI in learning
- Demonstrated knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Demonstrated knowledge of UNM IRB procedures
- Strong organizational, project management, teamwork, and communication skills
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
