Position Summary
The UNM Department of Humanities seeks to hire a current New Mexico Residentfor a Temporary Part-Time Faculty memberto teach an online class in one of the following subject areas for Summer 2025.
Public Speaking

This course introduces the theory and fundamental principles of publicspeaking, emphasizing audience analysis, reasoning, the use of evidence, andeffective delivery. Students will study principles of communication theory andrhetoric and apply them in the analysis, preparation and presentation ofspeeches, including informative, persuasive, and impromptu speeches.
Meets New Mexico GeneralEducation Curriculum Area 1 : Communication.
We propose a base salary of $1,017.60 to $1,100.63 per credit hour depending on successful candidates’qualifications. This posting is for both face to face and remote delivery ofcourses. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications :
- Master’s degree in the discipline or subfield in which they are applying to teach. Applicant must have completed a program of study in the discipline or subfield in which they teach, with coursework at least one level above that of the courses being taught or developed (., completed a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline or subfield in which they teach or tested experience that is determined to be equivalent to the degree)
