Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
ERP Support, Platform Integration, Workflow & Automation is a development sub-unit of Enterprise Application Development & Delivery (EADD). The EADD unit within Information Technology Services supports UNCG students, faculty and staff by implementing, maintaining, and supporting complex, integrated enterprise systems. These systems support functions across academic and business units, and are used by all students, faculty and staff. The services support academic and business functions such as student recruitment, admissions, curriculum management, advising, registration, billing, financial management and budgeting, purchasing, HR/Payroll, and other academic and business functions. Responsibilities include acquisition and maintenance of software systems; in-depth systems and technical business analysis; systems and applications design; application integration; programming, testing and implementation; documentation, business process modeling, database administration, and data management. The ERP Development & Support staff are responsible for the Ellucian Banner ERP and related systems. This team works extremely closely with Database Administrators, Enterprise Infrastructure, IT Business Architects & Analysts, Enterprise Reporting & Data Management, and the Integration, Workflow & Automation group. These teams are driven by technical expertise, institutional knowledge, collaboration, and pragmatism.
Position Summary
The ServiceNow Analyst / Programmer contributes to the ongoing development and maintenance of technical solutions built with the ServiceNow platform as well as platform administration. ServiceNow is the software that powers IT service management, Asset Management and Operations Management at UNCG. It is essential to day-to-day operations and supports consistent, high-quality service delivery to students, faculty, and staff and management of IT resources.
This position will support ongoing expansion, development, integration, configuration, and administration of the ServiceNow Platform within the Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and will work closely with team members and stakeholders to configure, test, and document changes as we expand our footprint. Performing these duties while ensuring the system remains healthy and functions efficiently requires a solid background in the ServiceNow Platform, and an understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Duties of the ServiceNow Analyst / Programmer include developing scoped applications, building reports, dashboards, scripts, and requests. This individual will also help manage permissions and other module-specific configuration. This person must be able to research and understand new, complicated processes and procedures, and be able to learn new technologies – especially as they relate to the ongoing improvement of the ServiceNow platform. This position will track, prioritize, and implement integration requests and bug fixes, leveraging formal project, release, and change management processes. On-call duties are included as part of this position.

Minimum Qualifications
- Mid-to late-career with Masters and 2-4 yrs experience, or Bachelors and 3-5 yrs experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience
Additional Required Certifications, Licensures, and Certificates
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- professional training and experience
- ITIL Certification
- ServiceNow System Administrator Certification and completion of any combination of Scripting Fundamentals, Application Development Fundamentals, or Service Portal training
- Experience developing ServiceNow scoped applications, and source/version control
- Flow Designer / Legacy Workflows experience
- Integration Hub configurations
- Experience with ServiceNow reports, dashboards, Performance Analytics, designing ServiceNow Portals
- Advanced knowledge of catalog design and client scripting
- Knowledge of ServiceNow module uses
- Proven experience with application integrations using technologies such as API integration, SOAP or REST Web Services, JDBC/ODBC, and flat files
